The following are full descriptions of the applications that are
included in "The Landmark Series" by New Horizon Software.

                    128 Dual Top V3.0 and 64 Dual Top V3.0

Dual Top is everything you ever wanted from the Desk Top and more.
Full 4 drive support, Ram drive priority system, two windows for
displaying file listings, one click access to all major file functions,
comprehensive error reports, multiple user options, and compatibility
with the Desk Top and GateWay are some of the features that make Dual Top
the premier Desk Top replacement.

Dual Top provides full four drive support when an REU is present.
Disk and file functions can be performed on all of the four drives. You
can even run your applications from C and D. Since Configure does not
support four drives, the fourth drive can be added from within Dual Top.

The Ram Drive Priority was designed to take full advantage of your
Ram Drives. When a data file is double clicked, the Ram Drive will always
be searched first for the parent application. This feature allows you to
have totally different configurations than were previously possible.

Dual Top uses a split window system for displaying your files. By
using this method the user has a larger perspective into the system. The
windows may be used independently or together for copying files between
two drives. Each window can hold 144 files (the maximum allowed in GEOS)
and displays up to 16 files at a time.

The most commonly used file functions are activated by the buttons
located in the middle of the screen. With this setup, it only takes a
single click of the mouse to activate the function.

Dual Top's error reports do not leave you out in the cold. When an
error is detected during a disk or file operation, the following
information is given to help you pinpoint the location of the error: the
disk name, the file name, the track and sector where the error occurred
and a description of the error. This information allows the user to
repair disks that show errors during validation.

With Dual Top's greater perspective you no longer have to return to
the drive that the last application was run from. Dual Top can be
configured to list the directory of any of the four drives when Dual Top
is entered. This is particularly handy if you use separate drives for
data and applications. You would just set up Dual Top to automatically
list the files on your data drive so that you can immediately select
another file from your data disk.

The Auto Overwrite option allows you to disable the "Ok to overwrite
file?" dialog box. This option allows you to back up multiple files from
the REU to disk without having to approve every copy.

To help search through large file listings you can sort them by name.
Dual Top can be set up to automatically sort the files when a disk is
opened or you can turn the sorting off and sort disks as needed with a
single key stroke.

Dual Top is completely compatible with the Desk Top and GateWay. Dual
Top can be run from both the Desk Top and GateWay by double clicking on
Dual Top's file name or icon. You can also run the Desk Top or GateWay
from Dual Top by double clicking on it's file name just like any other
application.

The above features are what make Dual Top the premier alternative to
the Desk Top.

                          Geo Tet and VDC Tet

Tet is a full color game of logic and skill. The goal of the game is
to keep the pieces from stacking up to the top of the screen. To
accomplish this you must form complete lines across the game field. When
a complete line is formed it is removed from the game. There are 7 pieces
that can be rotated and shifted to form the lines. Tet also features
multiple game options. The "Option" control box allows you to adjust the
number of starting lines, the speed that the pieces are dropped and the
speed of advancing lines. By mixing the different options the game
difficulty can be adjusted to match your skill level. The keyboard
controls are set up for left or right handed players.

                      Geo Solitaire and VDC Solitaire

Solitaire is a full color version of the game "Klondike". The goal of
the game is to end with all of the suits in sequential order at the top
of the screen. Solitaire also features multiple decks to choose from. Geo
Solitaire features a 3 color pointer in the shape of a hand that actually
"picks up" the cards and moves them in real time. VDC Solitaire features
640x440 resolution that allows for very detailed cards.

                                Checkerboard

The Checkerboard is a full color automated checkerboard. There are no
rules and no computer player so you can play any game that can be played
on a real checkerboard. Pieces can be moved in any way you want. You can
remove the pieces from the board, add new pieces to the board and stack
two pieces to "king" a checker. When you point and click on a checker,
the piece is picked up and moved in real time.

                                  Lace II

Lace II is a 128 only picture display program. Lace can display
GeoPaint, IPaint and Basic8 picture formats. GeoPaints can be displayed
in the following resolutions: 640x400, 640x498 and 640x592. IPaint is a
640x400 format. The following Basic8 formats are supported: 640x200 -
640x500 picture size, 8x2, 8x4, 8x8, 8x16 and monochrome color formats.
All displays are in full color. The GeoPaint pictures have a color
correction option that will simulate the 64 screen colors when activated.

                           System Requirements

All of the applications in the Landmark Series require GEOS V2.0.

64 Dual Top requires an REU to be able to use different drive types
and 4 drive support. For example, you cannot use a 1541 and a 1581
without an REU.

GeoTet, Geo Solitaire and Checkerboard are 40 column applications
that require a Commodore 64 or a Commodore 128 with at least one drive.

128 Dual Top requires a Commodore 128 with at least 1 drive and a 80
column monitor. 128 Dual Top does not require an REU to use multiple
drive types but does require the REU for 4 drive support.

VDC Tet, VDC Solitaire and Lace II all require a Commodore 128 with
64K of VDC RAM with an 80 column monitor.
